We had a great experience with Glenbrook for our kitchen remodel and are extremely pleased with the outcome. We appreciated Robert's time and vision of transforming the space and making it more efficient and contemporary. He provided sound advice as to what would "make things pop" versus trendy things that will rapidly go out of style. Mike and team did a fantastic job with the construction - they took it down to the studs and started from scratch. They were efficient and kept us apprised of the progress for an on-time completion. The team has been attentive to follow-up regularly and has been responsive to address minor issues that have arisen. We would use the team again for major renovations.

Our prior experience with the expansion/renovation of an older single-family home made us aware of the complexities and surprises involved in renovations - so we were interested in taking a different approach on the gut rehab of our new condominium. A Colorado-based contractor, and relative, suggested we seek out a well-regarded Design-Build firm.  We found Glenbrook Remodeling, and we could not recommend them more highly. Their creative and straightforward design process was enhanced by active listening to our project objectives and the use of innovative software which allowed us to cost out and then see virtually every element of our design plan – before a hammer was lifted.  Our project was comprehensive – kitchen, living room, library, bedrooms, bathrooms and more.  The Glenbrook Remodeling build team was highly professional, responsive, and attentive to delivering quality results and materials to match the plan. Our upper floor location and condo association rules required both logistical challenges and communication skills to keep the project moving while being responsive to neighbors’ concerns. Glenbrook Remodeling did a great job on both fronts in building a project that was beautiful, delivered on time, at the agreed upon price in a work environment that was clean and orderly and complimented by neighbors.  Anyone planning a renovation project should expect a few surprises and bumps in the road. We did and we hit a few.  Our main surprises (building code related, defective appliances) were outside the control of Glenbrook Remodeling.  Even so, they stood by us every step of the way and leveraged their third-party relationships to ensure that others performed for us. Even when Glenbrook Remodeling’s work was essentially complete, they stayed involved and invested time to make sure things were resolved to our satisfaction.Â

The Glenbrook Remodeling team is very friendly, professional, skilled and hard working. They were always good at communicating and responding to my text messages day or night. Each day they did a great job cleaning up their work area in an effort to minimize the amount of dust in my home. They consistently went the extra mile to deliver their excellent services and completing their projects within the budgeted time including working on weekends, if necessary. They truly made the renovation process enjoyable instead of stressful. I now have almost an entirely new home of my dreams thanks to Glenbrook Remodeling. I would highly recommend Glenbrook Remodeling to my friends and family members who are in search of some excellent contractors for their remodeling projects. Five stars all the way!!

Quality, professionalism, integrity, and trustworthiness are all words that describe Glenbrook Remodeling. Three years ago they remodeled our kitchen and we loved their work. There was no question that we would contact them to handle our emergency basement remodeling. It is beautiful! They are also redoing our master bath and guest bathroom. We wouldn’t consider any one else to do the job.

Myself and my spouse bought our first home a few months ago. We needed some major work done within the kitchen, but we had a very small budget to get all the work done in our home. I work in the Glenview, IL area so I googled "home construction" and Glenbrook Remodeling came up. We called and made an appointment. We met with Alex, he was very professional and honest. He was willing to work within our budget and time frame. The company remodeled our kitchen, removed one of the walls to open the kitchen area up to include a breakfast bar with granite countertops, and they refinished all the hardwood floors throughout the house. The project was done in a timely fashion, they did a wonderful job of cleaning up after the work was finished. We are very pleased with this company and would recommend them to our friends and family.
From start to finish, my bathroom remodel project was an absolute pleasure. Alex, Robert, Mike and the entire crew were professional, respectful, and responsive. They are all also delightful people to work with and get to know. My small ranch house has only one bathroom on the main floor so it really mattered that it not only function but look beautiful. Before, it was severely dated in various shades of tans and brown. Additionally, a previous owner had closed in a closet in the adjoining room so there was a cavity of maybe 9 sq feet that was walled in and wasted. Gutting the bathroom and opening that space into it created so much light and life and space. Working with Robert, we developed a timeless design that maximized everything the space had to offer. The team was on budget, on time (despite working under Covid-19 conditions) and always kept me informed. The crew fully cleaned up after each work day so the messiness was minimized. I am thrilled with the finished space and would seriously consider using Glenbrook Remodeling again when it's time to take on my kitchen. This is a quality company that operates with integrity and professionalism. Five stars all around!

The team heard me! They listened and responded to my needs! The process can be unnerving and stressful. The site Managers Michael was there to oversee the trades and was very responsive to calls and or text. Robert was creative and attentive while Alex put frosting on finished product! Very highly recommend Glenbrook Remodeling! They just remodeled our bathroom and we will be going to them for all future remodel projects. We were extremely pleased with everything: quality of work in both design and build, great attention to detail, and reasonable cost. Robert, Mike, and Alex were very personable, knowledgeable, on time, kept the work area clean, and managed the project very well. Our bathroom remodel was a complete gut job. We converted our shower and tub into a walk-in shower with a glass door, moved a wall slightly to create space for a huge vanity with two sinks and lots of storage, added more outlets, removed the soffit above the shower, and upgraded all the finishes. We had the general idea for these changes, and Robert took these ideas and put together an amazing, spa-like design beyond anything we could have envisioned ourselves. Mike and Alex took this design and brought it to life with impeccable craftsmanship and dedication. Thank you Alex, Mike, and Robert!
Best service ever! We came in needing cabinetry for our kitchen. Having looked at this for a while we were very overwhelmed by the choices that are out there. At Glenbrook Remodeling we first felt very comfortable with the environment, the process and the selection. They took time to understand what we need and presented us with options that made our decision very easy. The cabinets are beautiful and our kitchen is now exactly what we envisioned. The installation was very smooth and the additional items we purchased (countertop, knobs and plumbing supplies) complement our kitchen well. We highly recommend Glenbrook Remodeling.
We were initially drawn to Glenbrook Remodeling because of their design aspect. We had somewhat of a vision of how we wanted our new kitchen to look and feel but ultimately were still unsure. After going to Glenbrook Remodeling, Robert, the design consultant, listened to our ideas and eventually proposed a couple of designs, one of which we ended up going with. Once he projected it on the screen, we realized that it was a design that we never would’ve been able to come up with on our own. It looked fantastic and more spacious than any of the designs we had envisioned ourselves. By seeing Robert's design up on the screen, were able to view everything from every angle and it made it easier to visualize the finished space. It’s amazing the creativity and experience that went into the design process. Once we had the blueprint, we just worked out the finishes and then the work started. Alex and Mike did a great job building the kitchen. We also had them do our laundry room in the basement which badly needed an upgrade and they did a fantastic job creating a pantry area, a broom closet, and building a mechanical room for our furnace and water heater. They worked on both spaces at the same time and completed in about 8 weeks. Our kitchen looks and feels much bigger and the laundry room looks sleek. We felt like we were in good hands with Glenbrook Remodeling from start to finish with every little detail worked out. Their design, quality, and work were exceptional!
When we contemplated a house makeover we interviewed several contractors and checked references...we chose Glenbrook Remodeling because they seemed to listen to what we "thought" we wanted and also seemed prepared to offer suggestions on what we could do. We were not disappointed! Alex and Mike (and all their sub contractors) were very professional...helping us navigate the entire process blending their artistic and functional expertise to create a remodel we love! Our project was to remodel our kitchen and powder room with all new cabinetry, countertops, fixtures and appliances. We interviewed 3 different companies and after that process it was very clear to us that Glenbrook Remodeling was the contractor that we wanted to use. There was an immediate comfort factor. Alex and Mike understood what we were looking for and gave us confidence that they could get the job done on time and on budget. The remodel entailed a complete gut (other than the wood floor, which they beautifully refinished) of the kitchen and powder room. We had a style of cabinet that we wanted to use and they recommended a manufacturer that was able to design and customize our layout. They were extremely dependable – always showed up when they were supposed to and communication was very good. They kept everything as clean as possible and went above and beyond to make sure we had use of our old refrigerator and a temporary kitchen area during the renovation. From obtaining the permits to countertop, tile, hardware, plumbing, electrical, and painting selections, Alex and Mike handled everything as smoothly and professionally as we expected. Had the chance to meet Alex from RV Midwest Construction and talk about my kitchen remodeling project that I have in mind. He was very helpful even for a free in house estimate that he came from offering his help in suggesting what materials to use and giving me an idea how to keep my project under budget. Of course I also get another quotes from different remodeling companies in Chicago. I really liked his personal approach on my project and we decided to choose him on performing our kitchen rehab. Alex and Mike did a gut-rehab of my bathroom and, a year later, an almost-complete rehab of my kitchen in a vintage building. I will be forever grateful to them for alerting me to the fact that the cabinets I had ordered from a big-box store (initials HD) had quite obvious defects that would probably result in their falling off the wall in a couple years. They then worked with a local company to provide sturdy, attractive cabinets at the same price -- and still finished the job close to the expected date. They were responsive to my aesthetic desires and fiscal restraints. I would recommend them highly.
I went to Glenbrook Remodeling, because I'd interview other companies and they weren't willing to work with me at my price. Alex was very professional and understanding. He understood what I wanted. Robert came up with a fantastic design for the Master bathroom, that my husband and I could agree upon. Mike the project manager was there every day to make sure everything was running smoothly.
